Using archaeology, ancient texts, and current research, we will explore ancient Israel society in the context of ancient Mesopotamian and Egyptian civilizations. Focusing on daily life, religion, and law, students will be able to develop a fuller picture of the Israelites' role in the ancient world and the development of Judaism as we know it today. This is an open workshop, but registration is required to attend. Register Here! |

Join Institute for Curriculum Services (ICS) at the NCSS Annual Conference for Session #305: "Building Democracy: Jewish Voices in Early America," taking place in the Randolph 3 room. As the nation continues its AM250 celebration, join ICS to explore the gap between founding ideals and true religious liberty. Using primary sources, we’ll examine how early Jewish civic action helped build a strong representative democracy. We'd love to meet you, so please be sure to stop by exhibit booth #611. |
