ICS seeks an experienced educator who is excited about bringing ICS’s curricula and professional development opportunities to K-12 educators across 13 states: Florida, Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, Tennessee, Kentucky, Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, Michigan. In this role, you will build and cultivate regional partnerships, plan and execute in-person and online professional learning programs, and increase ICS’s presence across these states.

Key Responsibilities

1. Relationship Building

- Develop a deep understanding of the educational and professional learning landscape in your region
- Convey ICS’s value when talking to different stakeholders
- In collaboration with the Director of Professional Learning, develop annual outreach plan and goals
- Leverage ICS and personal network to set up professional development opportunities for schools/districts/other education institutions across your region.

2. Delivering Professional Development

- Maintain a deep knowledge of ICS content and professional development offerings
- Become an expert ICS workshop presenter, maintaining a high level of professionalism, fluidity, tech capabilities, and engagement

3. Data Management

- Maintain list of region-wide conferences
- Input relationship building efforts and relevant professional development data in ICS CRM in a timely manner
- Book necessary travel arrangements (e.g., flights, hotels, etc.)
- Submit any travel-related expenses in a timely manner

This position regularly involves travel (45%) and flexibility to work evenings and weekends for training events.

Qualifications and Requirements

- Tenacious and proactive problem solver
- Highly organized and can juggle multiple projects while meeting deadlines
- Quick to think on your feet and respond to all questions in a productive and respectful manner
- Able to work both independently and collaboratively

You Have:

- A bachelor’s degree or beyond in education or a related field
- At least five years of relevant experience working with/training K-12 educators in-person and online
- A solid understanding of current pedagogical theories and best practices in history education
- Familiarity with state and national social studies standards and knowledge of the importance of alignment between standards and classroom instruction
- An awareness of the challenges and realities facing social studies teachers
- Some knowledge of and experience teaching topics related to Jews, Judaism, and Jewish history
- Strong interpersonal skills in the context of developing and maintaining relationships with stakeholders,
including educational administrators and teachers
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- A high level of competency and comfort using technology

Compensation

$75,000/year
