Combining the expertise of the Tanenbaum and the Institute for Curriculum Services (ICS), this interactive workshop equips educators to navigate religious identity in the classroom with confidence. Participants will bridge “how to talk about religion” with “what to teach,” using teaching about Judaism as a practical case study for religious inclusivity. Grounded in the culturally responsive “3Bs” framework (Belief, Behavior, Belonging), you will explore inclusive pedagogical practices, learn to turn tense conversations into respectful curiosity, and leave with a complete toolkit to counter misinformation and foster nuanced religious literacy across any curriculum.
