Chappaqua Central School District – Religion and Politics in the Middle East
April 10 @ 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm EDT
Judging by headlines from the Middle East, religion plays an outsized role in the politics of the region. In reality, most countries in the world have shown a significant interest in religion—both historically and in the present—and the role that it plays in society. This session focuses on the complex and diverse religious landscape of countries in the Eastern Mediterranean and considers the variety of ways that religion and politics are intertwined. This is a closed workshop in partnership with Chappaqua Central School District. It is led by our ICS educator, Dori Gerber, and is designed for current/future K-12 educators who teach/plan on teaching this content. Interested in setting up a PD? Contact us at [email protected].
