This three-day (three hours per day) virtual professional development event is conducted by theInstitute for Curriculum Services (ICS), a national nonprofit initiative that develops social studies curricula and offers standards-aligned training to teachers on issues relating to Jews, Judaism, and Jewish history

  • Learn new strategies for engaging students with primary source documents
  • Receive ready-to-use lesson plans and standards-aligned curriculum

 

Topics Covered:

  • Emergence of Zionism and Arab Nationalism
  • World War I and the Broken Promises Made to Arabs and Jews
  • The British Mandate Era
  • State formation and peace treaties
  • Continuing conflict and unresolved issues

Upon completion of the workshop, participants will receive a $200 stipend and a certificate indicating 9 hours of participation will be emailed.
