ICS Northeast Trainer-Educator, Steve Goldberg, will be presenting our newest workshop, “In the Shadow of Empire: Ancient Israelite Civilization.”

In this session, using archaeology, ancient texts, and the most up-to-date research, we’ll explore Israelite society in the context of ancient Mesopotamian and Egyptian civilizations. Focusing on the daily life, religion, and law and literature of ancient Israel, participants will develop a fuller picture of their role in the ancient world, their lasting contributions to the Western world, and the development of Judaism as we know it today. This session is ideal for teachers of ancient civilization, world history, and world religions.
