Religion in the Classroom and The History of European Antisemitism

REGISTER HERE for this workshop which gives high school teachers the opportunity to learn both content that is relevant to today’s students as global citizens and pedagogical strategies that incorporate the latest research in helping students work with a manageable set of diverse primary sources. Participants will receive an honorarium for attending and leave with classroom-ready, standards-aligned curricular resources.
During this three-hour workshop, participants will:
- Receive a $100 honorarium for attending
- Gain an understanding of the legal foundations in the United States for teaching about religion in schools, and explore case studies to consider the challenges involved in teaching religion
- Explore the larger historical context of antisemitism using interactive primary sources – both images and texts
- Leave with classroom-ready, standards-aligned curricular resources
