The Grants Manager and Writer will play a critical role in increasing ICS’s revenue and supporting its growth as a national nonprofit organization.

Key Responsibilities

- Build out and maintain fundraising pipeline: from donor prospecting, to preparing letters of inquiry/grant proposals, to tracking grant deadlines, and crafting interim/final reports
- Write compelling, informed, informative, and on-brand grant proposals and reports
- Ensure all gifts are tracked and appropriate thank you letters are sent in a timely manner
- Collaborate across ICS departments to stay current ICS impact, and to obtain data, metrics, and stories to bring ICS’s impact and work to life for ICS funders
- Organize special donor events and briefings to ensure funders are kept informed of ICS’s work throughout the year.
- Create and manage monthly, quarterly, and annual reports to track fundraising success, and support the build out and implementation of a new donor CRM.
- Contribute to successful implementation of ICS’s overall fundraising strategy

Qualifications and Requirements

- Highly organized and detail-oriented, and able to juggle multiple projects while meeting deadlines with excellence
- Reliable and a self-starter
- Excited about doing donor research and nurturing and stewarding potential funding opportunities
- An excellent writer (for various audiences) and compelling storyteller
- Collaborative, relationship-focused, and are committed to your learning and growth

You Have:

- At least two years of experience as a grants writer manager/writer at a nonprofit organization
- Bachelor’s degree or beyond in English Literature, Writing, Communication, Nonprofit Studies, or a related field
- Understanding of the philanthropic space
- Strong organizational skills with experience developing/managing grant tracking systems
- Donor CRM experience (strongly preferred)
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Self-discipline and commitment needed to work and build relationships effectively and efficiently in a remote environment

Compensation

$75,000-$82,000 depending on experience
